Barclays to cease publication of Pure Beta Plus II Total Return index

By Jennifer Chiou

New York, Nov. 22 - Barclays Capital gave notice to holders that it will discontinue publication of the Barclays Capital Pure Beta Plus II Total Return index effective Dec. 5, according to an FWP filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The filing stated that Barclays Bank plc previously issued securities linked to the performance of the index, including its notes due March 31, 2015 and notes due Jan. 13, 2015. The affected Cusips are 06740JZG8 and 06740JFL9, respectively.

In its capacity as calculation agent for the notes series, Barclays Capital said it has selected the Barclays Capital Pure Beta DJ-UBS Commodity Index Total Return as the successor index.

From and including Dec. 2, the notes will be linked to the successor index.

Holders who wish to continue to keep their securities with the successor index do not need to take any further action, Barclays said.

Other holders may choose to redeem their securities prior to maturity by providing a notice of redemption. Barclays said that it will waive the minimum redemption amount requirement.
