Biomedical technology firm sells 67,706 shares at $2.10, a 25% discount

San Luis Obispo, Calif., Feb. 9 – HCi Viocare completed a $142,183 private placement of stock on Feb. 2, according to an 8-K filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The company sold 67,706 common shares at $2.10 per share. The price per share reflects a 25% discount to the Jan. 30 closing share price of $2.80.
The company is developing a portfolio of biomedical technologies to address unmet needs in the diabetic foot, Prosthetics & Orthotics and other health and well-being areas for licensing to established industry participants. It is also creating an independent chain of P&O and diabetic foot clinics in Europe and the Middle East. The company has its executive offices in Athens and its research and development center in Glasgow.
