BNP to sell buffered return enhanced notes on clean energy basket

New York, April 4 – BNP Paribas plans to price 0% buffered return enhanced notes due April 29, 2021 linked to a basket of 15 clean energy stocks, according to a term sheet.

The equally weighted basket includes Apple Inc., AT&T, Inc., Becton Dickinson and Co., Cisco Systems Inc., Equinix, Inc., General Motors Co., Intel Corp., Johnson & Johnson, Microsoft Corp., Nike Inc., Procter & Gamble Co., Starbucks Corp., Target Corp., Verizon Communications Inc. and Wal-Mart Stores Inc.

The stocks were selected by an affiliate of the issuer from the Corporate Clean Energy Leaders universe of 34 stocks published by Clean Edge, Inc. BNP used liquidity filters such as dividend yield and average daily trading volume for the stocks and their related options.

The payout at maturity will be par plus 130% to 145% of any basket gain. Investors will receive par if the basket declines by 20% or less and will lose 1% for every 1% that the basket declines beyond 20%.

BNP Paribas is the agent.

The notes will price on April 26 and settle on April 29.

The Cusip number is 05579TMU7.
