Barclays plans issue of 0% bear notes linked to PHLX Housing

New York, June 13 - Barclays Bank plc plans to price an issue of 0% principal-protected digital bear notes due 2008 linked to PHLX Housing Sector index stock, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

At maturity, investors will receive a gain of 115% if the final index level decreases from the initial level, and par if the index gains.

Barclays will be the agent.
