Barclays to price capped buffered notes due 2020 linked to S&P 500

Olympia, Wash., Feb. 26 – Barclays Bank plc plans to price 0% capped buffered notes due Sept. 2, 2020 linked to the S&P 500 index, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The payout at maturity will be par plus any gain in the index, with the payout capped at par plus 12.65%.

Investors will receive par if the index falls by up to 20% and will lose 1.25% for every 1% decline in the index beyond the 20% buffer.

Barclays is the underwriter with J.P. Morgan Securities LLC and JPMorgan Chase Bank, NA as placement agents.

The notes will price on March 1.

The Cusip number is 06747MGS9.
