Barclays plans 4.6% five-year buffered notes tied to Russell 2000 index

Olympia, Wash., Oct. 8 – Barclays Bank plc plans to price 4.6% buffered notes due Oct. 31, 2023 linked to the Russell 2000 index, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Interest is payable quarterly.

The payout at maturity will be par unless the index falls by more than 15%, in which case investors will lose 1% for each 1% decline beyond 15%.

Barclays is the agent.

The notes will price on Oct. 26.

The Cusip number is 06746XRV7.
