Barclays plans capped market plus notes linked to Alerian MLP fund

Chicago, April 18 – Barclays Bank plc plans to price 0% capped market plus notes due June 2, 2017 linked to the Alerian MLP exchange-traded fund, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

If the fund finishes at or above the initial level, the payout at maturity will be par plus the greater of the digital return of 11% and 1.5 times the gain, up to a maximum payment of $1,315.75 per $1,000 principal amount.

Investors will receive par if the fund falls by up to the 65% barrier level.

Otherwise, investors will be fully exposed to any losses.

Barclays is the agent.

The notes will price settle on April 21.

The Cusip number is 06741V2F8.
