New Issue: Barclays prices $31.2 million three-month notes linked to Topix index

Tacoma, Wash., March 21 - Barclays Bank plc priced $31.2 million of 0% notes due June 24, 2014 linked to the Topix index, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

For each $1,000 principal amount of notes, the payout at maturity will be (a) $1,000 multiplied by (b) one plus the index return multiplied by (c) the adjustment factor, 100.26%.

Because of the adjustment factor, investors will receive less than par if the final index level is less than the initial level by more than 0.259%.

Barclays is the underwriter with J.P. Morgan Securities LLC as agent.
