Barclays redeems double short notes tied to 30Y Treasury Futures index

Madison, Wis., May 18 - Barclays Bank plc gave notice that it redeemed its $5,208,000 of outstanding double short leverage securities due Dec. 24, 2012 linked to the Barclays Capital 30Y Treasury Futures index in full on May 18.

The notes (Cusip: 06739J5Z2) were redeemed at 27.1.
