Barclays redeems $24.83 million Stars due 2013 linked to Russell 2000

Madison, Wis., Oct. 4 - Barclays Bank plc said it redeemed on Oct. 2 all $24,832,100 of its outstanding Strategic Accelerated Redemption Securities due April 15, 2013 linked to the Russell 2000 index.

The securities (Cusip: 06741L351) were redeemed at 106.175. The redemption price includes an annualized call premium of 12.35%.
