Barclays plans 18-month buffered Super Track notes on MSCI EAFE fund

Chicago, Jan. 19 - Barclays Bank plc plans to price 0% buffered Super Track notes due Aug. 5, 2013 linked to the iShares MSCI EAFE index fund, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The payout at maturity will be par plus double any fund gain, up to a maximum return of 25.2% to 32%. The exact cap will be set at pricing.
Investors will receive par if the shares fall by up to 10% and will lose 1% for every 1% decline beyond 10%.
Barclays Capital Inc. is the agent.
The notes will price on Jan. 31 and settle on Feb. 3.
The Cusip number is 06738KJ85.
