Barclays plans trigger notes on iShares MSCI Emerging Markets fund

Philadelphia, Feb. 2 - Barclays Bank plc plans to price 0% trigger return optimization securities due Feb. 28, 2013 linked to the iShares MSCI Emerging Markets Index Fund, according to an FWP filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

If the performance of the fund is positive, the payout will be par plus 1.5 times any fund increase, capped at a maximum gain of 26% to 33%.

If the fund finishes at the initial level or falls by up to 25%, the payout will be par. Otherwise, investors will be fully exposed to the decline beyond 25%.

The notes (Cusip: 06740P544) are expected to price Feb. 23 and settle Feb. 28.
