Barclays plans Super Track notes linked to Hang Seng China Enterprises

Madison, Wis., Feb. 1 - Barclays Bank plc plans to price 0% Super Track notes due March 28, 2012 linked to the Hang Seng China Enterprises index, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

If the final index level is greater than the initial level, the payout at maturity will be par plus 200% of the index return, subject to a maximum return of 18% to 24%. The exact cap will be set at pricing.

Investors will be exposed to any decline in the index.

The notes (Cusip: 06738KAX9) will price on Feb. 23 and settle on Feb. 28.
