Barclays to price six-year notes linked to S&P BRIC 40 index

New York, Oct. 31 - Barclays Bank plc plans to price notes due Nov. 29, 2017 linked to the S&P BRIC 40 index, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The payout at maturity will be par plus the index return, capped at 45% to 54%. Investors will receive at least par.

The notes (Cusip: 06738KYK1) will price on Nov. 23 and settle on Nov. 30.
