Barclays plans buffered Super Track notes tied to iShares Russell 2000

Tacoma, Wash., April 7 - Barclays Bank plc plans to price 0% buffered Super Track notes due Oct. 31, 2011 linked to the iShares Russell 2000 index fund, according to an FWP filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The payout at maturity will be par plus double any fund gain, subject to a maximum return of 12% to 14.5% that will be set at pricing. Investors will receive par if the fund declines by 10% or less and will be exposed to any decline beyond 10%.
The notes are expected to price April 27 and settle April 30.
