Fitch rates Barclays notes AAA

Fitch Ratings said it assigned Barclays Bank plc's €3 billion notes due Oct. 27, 2011, guaranteed by the United Kingdom, long-term AAA ratings.

The presence of the guarantee allows the notes to benefit from the long-term AAA issuer default ratings of the United Kingdom, the agency noted.
