Barclays to price Super Track Notes linked to S&P 500

Des Moines, April 30 - Barclays Bank plc plans to price an issue of 0% Super Track Notes due May 30, 2012 linked to the S&P 500 index, according to an FWP filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Payout at maturity will be par plus any positive return on the basket.

If the basket declines by less than 20%, the payout will be par. Investors will lose 1% for every 1% that the basket declines beyond 20%.

The notes are expected to price on May 24 and settle on May 30.

Barclays Capital will be the underwriter.
