New Issue: Barclays sells $1.89 million phoenix autocallable notes on Russell

Columbus, Ohio, Dec. 24 – Barclays Bank plc priced $1.89 million of phoenix autocallable notes due Dec. 23, 2021 linked to the Russell 2000 index, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The notes will pay a contingent monthly coupon at an annual rate of 9.85% if the index closes at or above its 80% coupon barrier on a related observation date.
Starting in March. the notes will be called at par plus the contingent coupon if the index closes at or above its initial level on any observation date other than the final one.
The payout at maturity will be par plus the coupon unless the index finishes below 80% of its initial value, in which case investors will be fully exposed to the index’s decline.
