Barclays plans five-year CDs linked to Russell 2000 with 4%-4.5% cap

Chicago, Oct. 7 – Barclays Bank Delaware plans to price 0% certificates of deposit due Oct. 31, 2019 linked to the Russell 2000 index, according to a term sheet.

The payout at maturity will be par plus any index gain, up to a local cap of 4% to 4.5%. The exact cap will be set at pricing.

If the index falls, the payout will be par plus the return with a minimum of 5.5%.

Barclays is the agent. Incapital LLC is distributor.

The CDs will price on Oct. 27 and settle on Oct. 30.

The Cusip number is 06740A2A6.
