Gramercy appoints senior vice president, sovereign economist Glendon

By Tali Rackner

Norfolk, Va., Dec. 10 – Gramercy Funds Management LLC appointed Sarah Glendon to the new position of senior vice president, sovereign economist, according to a press release.

Gramercy said that Glendon’s emerging markets sovereign risk expertise will enhance its ability to identify and interpret global market trends and movements as well as their underlying influencing factors.

The addition brings the credit research team to 15 analysts.

"Sarah's insight into the short- and long-term impact that global market trends have on emerging markets credit will strengthen our overall investment capabilities, providing a measurable benefit to our clients," managing partner, founder and chief investment officer Robert Koenigsberger said in the release.

Prior to joining Gramercy, Glendon was a senior analyst and vice president in Moody's Investors Service’s sovereign risk group, where she served as a lead analyst on the Latin American sovereign team. Before that, she was a sovereign analyst in both the asset management and corporate R&D groups at AIG.

Gramercy is an emerging markets investment manager based in Greenwich, Conn., with offices in London, Hong Kong, Singapore, Mexico City and Silicon Valley.
