Moody’s gives A2 to Beijing Energy

Moody's Investors Service said it assigned am A2 issuer rating to Beijing Energy Investment Holding Co., Ltd. (BEIH).

The outlook is stable.

"BEIH's A2 issuer rating reflects its baseline credit assessment (BCA) of baa3 and a four-notch uplift based on the high level of support expected from the Beijing municipal government under Moody's joint-default analysis approach for government-related issuers," Moody's vice president and senior analyst Ray Tay said in a news release.

The baa3 baseline credit assessment mainly reflects its dominant position in the local power and district heating sectors, supported by its diversified power portfolio and operational synergies with the district heating business, the agency said.
