Former Hospitality Staffing asks court to dismiss bankruptcy cases

By Caroline Salls

Pittsburgh, Dec. 2 – Hospitality Liquidation II, LLC, formerly Hospitality Solutions Group, LLC, asked the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware to dismiss its Chapter 11 cases and dissolve the debtors, according to a Monday court filing.

The company is also looking to pay fees and pay all remaining funds toward satisfaction of its debtor-in-possession financing.

While it fell short of its goal of creating value for general unsecured creditors, Hospitality said it achieved its other goals for the cases by ultimately selling substantially all of its assets to new owners who are operating the businesses with the overwhelming majority of the debtors’ former work force.

“At this stage, there is nothing for the debtors to operate, and there are no remaining assets that can be administered or liquidated to create a return to anyone other than the debtors’ lenders,” the motion said.

A hearing is scheduled for Jan. 2.

Hospitality Staffing, an Atlanta-based provider of hospitality staffing services to hotels, resorts and casinos, filed for bankruptcy on Oct. 23, 2013. The Chapter 11 case number is 13-12740.
