Fitch affirms Banque Gabonaise

Fitch Ratings said it affirmed Banque Gabonaise de Developpement's long-term issuer default rating at B+ and short-term issuer default rating at B.

The agency also said it affirmed the bank's 10 billion in Gabonaise franc six-year bond at B+ with a recovery rating of RR4.

The outlook is stable.

Reflecting the bank's renewed public sector mandate and its close affiliation with the Gabonese state, Fitch said it has not assigned a viability rating to the bank.

The ratings are driven by potential support from the Gabonese state, if required, Fitch said.
