Moody's lowers some Tunisian banks

Moody's Investors Service said it downgraded the local- and foreign-currency deposit ratings of four Tunisian banks, concluding a review for possible downgrade that began in July.

Amen Bank's global local-currency and foreign-currency deposit ratings were downgraded to Baa3/prime-3 from Baa2/prime-2. The bank's D- bank financial strength rating remains unchanged. The outlook is stable. Banque de Tunisie's global local-currency deposit ratings were downgraded to Baa2/prime-2 from Baa1/prime-2. The bank's Baa2/prime-2 foreign-currency deposit ratings remain unchanged, along with its D+ bank financial strength rating. The outlook is stable.

Banque Internationale Arabe de Tunisie's global local-currency deposit ratings were downgraded to Baa2/prime-2 from Baa1/prime-2. The bank's Baa2/prime-2 foreign-currency deposit ratings remain unchanged, along with its D bank financial strength rating. The outlook is stable.

Société Tunisienne de Banque's global local-currency and foreign-currency deposit ratings were downgraded to Baa3/prime-3 from Baa2/prime-2. The bank's E+ bank financial strength rating remains unchanged. The outlook is stable.

Arab Tunisian Bank's local- and foreign-currency deposit ratings remain unchanged at Baa2/prime-2.
