Mississippi Phosphates posts operating loss of $12.9 million for June

New York, July 20 – Mississippi Phosphates Corp. marked an operating loss of $12.9 million for June on $1.78 million in net sales, according to its monthly operating report filed July 18 with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Mississippi.

For May, the company reported an operating loss of $12.03 million on net sales of $1.36 million.

Mississippi Phosphates’ net loss for June was $12.98 million, up from a net loss of $11.93 million in May.

The company also had available cash holdings of $1.43 million as of June 30, increasing from $263,761 as of May 31.

Mississippi Phosphates, a Pascagoula, Miss.-based fertilizer company, filed for bankruptcy on Oct. 27, 2014. The Chapter 11 case number is 14-51667.
