Mississippi Phosphates’ April operating loss grows to $9.75 million

New York, May 19 – Mississippi Phosphates Corp. marked an operating loss of $9.75 million for April on $1.03 million in net sales, according to its monthly operating report filed May 19 with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Mississippi.
For March, the company reported an operating loss of $8.63 million on $594,000 in net sales.
Mississippi Phosphates’ net loss for April was $9.66 million, from $8.58 million in March.
The company also had available cash holdings of $690,334 as of April 30, down from $752,171 as of March 31.
Mississippi Phosphates, a Pascagoula, Miss.-based fertilizer company, filed for bankruptcy on Oct. 27, 2014. The Chapter 11 case number is 14-51667.
