Winsway appoints Wang Wengang as CEO and executive director

New York, July 18 – Winsway Enterprises Holdings Ltd. appointed Wang Wengang as its chief executive officer and an executive director following the resignation of Cao Xinyi, according to a statement from the company.

Cao resigned effective July 18, but will remain as an executive director and the chairwoman of the company’s board of directors.

Looking to other resignations, Li Yongqiang resigned as the chief financial officer; Lu Chuan resigned as the company’s non-executive director; James Downing resigned as an independent non-executive director and a member of the audit and remuneration committees and chairman of the nomination and corporate governance committee of the board; and George Jay Hambro resigned as an independent non-executive director and member of the audit committee and the nomination and corporate governance committee and chairman of the health and safety and environmental committee of the board.

Moving to appointments, Guo Lisheng was appointed as the non-executive director; Gao Zhikai was appointed as an independent non-executive director and a member of the audit committee and the health and safety and environmental committee and the chairman of the nomination and corporate governance committee of the board; and Wang Yaxu was appointed as the chief financial officer and chairman of the health and safety and environmental committee of the board.

As previously reported, Winsway is seeking to change its name to E-Commodities Holdings Ltd.

Based in Hong Kong, Winsway is an importer of coking coal. The company filed for bankruptcy on April 6 in U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York under Chapter 15 case number 16-10833.
