Ecobank mandates banks, sets roadshow for dollar notes offering

By Rebecca Melvin

New York, June 14 – Ecobank Transnational Inc. has selected banks and scheduled a series of fixed-income investor meetings for a proposed offering of U.S. dollar-denominated notes, according to a syndicate source on Thursday.

Deutsche Bank AG, London branch, Standard Bank and Standard Chartered Bank are joint bookrunners for the Rule 144A and Regulation S deal.

Meetings will commence on Monday in the United Kingdom and United States, with pricing of notes to follow subject to market conditions.

The proceeds will be used for general corporate purposes, which may include refinancing of debt.

Ecobank is a pan-African banking group with a presence in 36 African countries.
