S&P rates Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi bonds A+

Standard & Poor’s said it assigned A+ ratings to the Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ Ltd.’s dollar-denominated straight bonds.

The ratings on the bonds are the same as the long-term counterparty rating on the bank given the current rating on the bank and the issuance terms and conditions of the bonds, S&P said.

The bonds consists of a $1 billion 1.70% issue due March 5, 2018; a $500 million floating-rate issue due March 5, 2018; and a $1.5 billion 2.30% issue due March 5, 2020.
