Moody's: Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi bonds Aa3

Moody's Japan KK said it assigned an Aa3 ratings to the senior unsecured bonds issued by the Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ, Ltd.

The outlook is stable.

These are takedowns from the bank's ¥2 trillion domestic shelf registration, which is rated provisional Aa3.

Moody's said the Aa3 ratings incorporate (a) The bank's C standalone bank financial strength rating, mapping to A3 on the long-term scale; (b) Moody's assessment of "very high" systemic support probability; and (c) the systemic support input of Aa2 for Japan.
