S&P rates Harley-Davidson Financial notes A-

S&P said it assigned an A- issue-level rating to Harley-Davidson Financial Services Inc.'s proposed aggregate $500 million senior unsecured medium-term notes.

The company plans to issue the notes in two tranches, a floating-rate tranche due 2019 and a fixed-rate tranche due 2020, and to use the proceeds for general corporate purposes.

The A- corporate credit rating on parent company Harley-Davidson Inc. and other ratings on the company remain unchanged.

The outlook is stable.
