Bank of New York Mellon to sell notes in two parts, including add-on

Knoxville, Tenn., Jan. 21 – Bank of New York Mellon Corp. intends to offer senior notes in two tranches, including an add-on to its 2.1% senior notes (A1/A/AA-) due Oct. 24, 2024, according to 424B2 filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The company sold $750 million of the 2.1% notes at 99.825 to yield 2.137% with a Treasuries plus 57 basis points spread in a sale that priced on Oct. 17, 2019 and settled on Oct. 24, 2019.

The 2024 notes are non-callable.

The new notes may be redeemed at par after an initial non-call period.

Barclays, Morgan Stanley & Co. LLC, RBC Capital Markets Corp. and BNY Mellon Capital Markets LLC are the bookrunners.
