DBRS: Bank of New York Mellon unchanged

DBRS said that the ratings for the Bank of New York Mellon Corp., including its AA (low) issuer and senior debt rating and its R-1 (middle) short-term instruments rating, are unchanged following the release of the company's fourth quarter 2010 financial results.

The trend is stable.

The ratings consider the bank's improved earnings, favorable underlying trends in its core businesses and its investment securities portfolio, which remained in a solidly positive position in the fourth quarter, the agency said.
