Bank of New York Mellon launches $1.3 billion of bonds due 2027, 2032

Chicago, Jan. 19 – Bank of New York Mellon Corp. launched $1.3 billion of bonds in two parts on Wednesday, a market source said.

The bank launched an $850 million tranche of notes due Jan. 26, 2027 at Treasuries plus 45 basis points, lower than initial price talk in the Treasuries plus 60 bps area.

The second tranche is $450 million of notes due Jan. 26, 2032 launched at Treasuries plus 70 bps. Initial price talk was in the Treasuries plus 85 bps area.

BNY Mellon Capital Markets LLC, BofA Securities Inc., Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC and UBS Securities LLC are the bookrunners.
