BMO plans 6.72% contingent interest buffered notes tied to Stoxx 50

By Susanna Moon

Chicago, July 11 – Bank of Montreal plans to price buffered notes with contingent interest payments due July 30, 2021 linked to the Euro Stoxx 50 index, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The notes will pay a contingent monthly coupon at an annual of 6.72% if the index closes at or above its initial level on the observation date for that month.

The payout at maturity will be par plus the final coupon unless the index falls by more than 10%, in which case investors will lose 1% for each 1% decline beyond the 10% buffer.

BMO Capital Markets Corp. is the agent.

The notes will price on July 26 and settle on July 31.

The Cusip is 06367T6X3.
