BMO plans bullish enhanced notes on Ameriprise Quality Factor stocks

Morgantown, W.Va., Feb. 22 – Bank of Montreal plans to price 0% bullish enhanced return notes due March 1, 2019 linked to an equally weighted basket of the equity securities of 16 publicly traded companies in the Ameriprise Investment Research Group (IRG) Quality Factor Leaders, according to an FWP filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

American Enterprise Investment Services, Inc.’s senior equity analysts identified the basket companies as the 16 equity securities that they believe are top ranking among the IRG’s domestic and international focus list selections, based on nine quantitative factors: return on equity; gross margin; operating cash flow; interest coverage ratio; debt-to-equity ratio; asset efficiency (i.e., asset turnover); earnings stability; accruals tilt; and three-year earnings per share growth.

The underlying stocks are BB&T Corp., Check Point Software Technologies Ltd., Clorox Co., Emerson Electric Co., Gilead Sciences, Inc., Alphabet Inc., Home Depot, Inc., JPMorgan Chase & Co., 3M Co., Marathon Petroleum Corp., Nvidia Corp., Novo Nordisk A/S, Sealed Air Corp., SunTrust Banks, Inc., Ulta Beauty, Inc. and Visa Inc.

The payout at maturity will be par plus 200% of any basket gain, up to a maximum return of 14%.

Investors will be fully exposed to losses.
