New Issue: BMO sells $5 million autocallable barrier notes with memory coupons on indexes

By William Gullotti

Buffalo, N.Y., March 17 – Bank of Montreal priced $5 million autocallable barrier notes with memory coupons due March 19, 2029 linked to the Russell 2000 index and the Euro Stoxx 50 index, according to a 424B2 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The notes will pay a semiannual coupon equal to 7.25% per year if each index’s closing level is more than 90% of its initial level on the corresponding observation date, plus any previously unpaid coupon.

The notes will be automatically redeemed at par plus the contingent coupon if each index closes at or above 105% of its initial level on any semiannual observation date after two years.

If the notes are not called, the payout at maturity will be par plus the final coupon and any previously unpaid coupons if each index finishes at or above the coupon barrier.

If the final level of any index is less than the coupon barrier but each finishes at or above 65% of its initial level, the payout at maturity will be par. Otherwise, investors will lose 1% for each 1% decline of the worst performer from its initial level.

BMO Capital Markets Corp. is the agent.
