Moody's assigns Kowepo notes Aa2

Moody's Investors Service said it assigned an Aa2 rating to the planned senior unsecured dollar-denominated notes to be issued by Korea Western Power Co., Ltd. (Kowepo).

The notes will be issued under Kowepo's $2 billion global medium-term note program, which is rated (P)Aa2.

Kowepo plans to use all or part of the proceeds to finance or refinance new or existing projects associated with renewable energy, eco-friendly hydrogen and energy efficiency.

The outlook is stable.
