Monroe Hospital gets support on liquidation plan from most creditors

New York, Feb. 9 – Monroe Hospital, LLC’s proposed Chapter 11 plan of liquidation received support from a majority of voting creditors, according to a Feb. 9 filing with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Indiana.

Specifically, the sole holder of a secured claim totaling $121.75 million voted to accept the plan, as did 37 holders of general unsecured claims totaling $2.39 million.

Holders of seven general unsecured claims totaling $2.77 million voted to reject the plan.

A hearing to confirm the liquidation plan is scheduled for Feb. 11.

Monroe, a Bloomington, Ind.-based hospital operator, filed for bankruptcy on Aug. 8. Its Chapter 11 case number is 14-07417.
