Moody’s revises U.K. outlook to negative
Moody’s Investors Service said it revised its outlook for the United Kingdom and the Bank of England to negative from stable and affirmed their domestic- and foreign-currency long-term issuer and domestic-currency senior unsecured ratings at Aa3.
In a press release, Moody’s noted the “heightened unpredictability in policymaking amid weaker growth prospects and high inflation; and risks to the U.K.'s debt affordability from likely higher borrowing and risk of a sustained weakening in policy credibility.”
