Fitch rates Bocom Macau notes A

Fitch Ratings said it assigned an expected A rating to Bank of Communications Co., Ltd.'s planned long-term senior unsecured notes to be issued by Bank of Communications Co., Ltd. Macau Branch under Bank of Communications Co., Ltd. Hong Kong Branch's $12 billion medium-term note program.

The issue amount and maturity structure will be finalized upon settlement.

“The expected rating assigned to the notes is aligned with the long-term issuer default rating (IDR) of A assigned to Bocom Macau Branch, which is in turn the same as the rating assigned to Bocom, as Bocom Macau Branch is part of the same legal entity as Bocom.

The proceeds will be used to support Bocom Macau Branch's general funding needs.
