Bank of Communications launches $12 billion medium-term note program

Buffalo, N.Y., June 8 – Bank of Communications Co., Ltd., Hong Kong Branch established a new $12 billion medium-term note program (A2//A), according to a listing notice with an appended offering circular on Thursday.
The bank branch will act as its own arranger, dealer, fiscal agent, transfer agent, paying agent, calculation agent, CMU lodging agent and registrar for the Regulation S program.
Sister branches located outside of China are permitted to issue notes under the program.
Linklaters and King & Wood Mallesons will advise the bank in its role as issuer, with Allen & Overy and JunHe LLP advising the bank as lead manager.
The 12-month program, effective June 7, is listed on the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Ltd.
Bank of Communications is based in Shanghai.
