Bank of China gets OK for up to RMB 23 billion subordinated bonds

Madison, Wis., Nov. 15 - Bank of China Ltd. said it recently received approval from the China Banking Regulatory Commission and from the People's Bank of China to issue up to RMB 23 billion of subordinated bonds in the national interbank bond markets.

The Beijing-based bank said it will make further announcements about the subordinated bonds as needed.
