Milwaukee, March 25 - Bank of America Merrill Lynch announced that Karen Fang will join the company in June as managing director and head of cross asset strategies and solutions for global markets in the Americas.

Fang will be based in New York and will report to Bryan Weadock, co-head of global fixed income, currencies and commodities sales.

Working across fixed income and equity, Fang will oversee the development and distribution of investment and hedging solutions to various types of clients. In addition, she will be responsible for managing the distribution of cross asset solutions for Asian pensions and sovereign wealth funds.

Fang was most recently a managing director at Goldman, Sachs & Co., where she was responsible for the pension, endowment and foundation cross asset solutions group in North America. Prior to that, Fang held senior derivatives structuring positions at firms including Merrill Lynch Tokyo and Deutsche Bank London.

Fang has a bachelor's degree in economics from the University of Tokyo.
