S&P: Bank of America unaffected

Standard & Poor's said Bank of America Corp.'s disclosure that it will record a charge of $3 billion in the fourth quarter related to market valuations of its collateralized debt obligations exposure will not affect ratings.

According to the agency, although the size of the charges is noteworthy, the company's diverse revenue streams and the depth and breadth of its core business profile mitigate the effect on ratings.
