Moody's may downgrade Bank Moscow-Minsk

Moody's Investors Service said it placed the B1 long-term local-currency deposit rating of Bank Moscow-Minsk on review for downgrade.

This rating action has no effect on the bank's other ratings.

The downgrade review follows a similar review for downgrade on JSC Bank of Moscow. The Bank of Moscow is currently used as an anchor for parental support, the agency said.

Bank Moscow-Minsk's long-term local-currency deposit rating factors in a B2 standalone credit strength and an assessment of a moderate probability of support from its parent, Bank of Moscow, in the event of a stress situation, Moody's said.

The ratings also reflect the considerable downside risks reflected in the potential deterioration of the operating environment, which would in turn affect the Belarusian banking system, the agency said.
