MacKeyser gets OK to proceed with online auction of affiliate assets

By Kali Hays

New York, Dec. 11 – MacKeyser Holdings, LLC won approval of a disposition agreement with Tiger Remarketing Services for the sale of all remaining inventory of its affiliate, Sama Eyewear, under a Dec. 11 order from the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

As previously reported, Tiger will liquidate the remaining assets through an online auction and receive 15% of the total sale proceeds as compensation.

Though MacKeyeser did not give an estimate of the value of the assets, it said the sale will “provide a much needed source of revenue for the estates, including to fund the anticipated consummation of the plan of liquidation.”

Las Vegas-based MacKeyser Holdings and operating affiliates American Optical Services, LLC and Exela Hearing Services, LLC manage integrated eye care and hearing systems providers. The company filed for bankruptcy on June 20 under Chapter 11 case number 14-11550.
