Moody’s stabilizes Kazakh bank view

Moody’s Investors Service said it confirmed the long-term ratings of Eurasian Bank, Bank CenterCredit and Development Bank of Kazakhstan and changed their outlooks to stable from under review.

The affirmations and outlook revisions conclude the review for downgrade started on Jan. 13 and Jan. 18 for Development Bank of Kazakhstan, the agency said.

“The stable outlooks on the long-term ratings of Kazakhstan financial institutions reflects Moody's expectation that the banks' strong capitalization, sound profitability and high liquidity will together balance the risks of weakening asset quality amid higher inflation and tighter financing conditions,” Moody’s said in a press release.
