Ares hires Peter Higgins as partner, manager in Ares Credit Group

Minneapolis, June 27 – Ares Management, LP announced that Peter Higgins joined the firm as a partner and portfolio manager in the Ares Credit Group, according to a press release.

Higgins will be based in London and will help lead the expansion of Ares’ European leveraged finance product offerings alongside the existing European credit team.

Higgins was most recently with BlueBay Asset Management, where he was partner and senior portfolio manager for its global leveraged finance group. He previously held positions at Deutsche Bank, Goldman Sachs, Credit Suisse First Boston and Prudential Securities.

“Peter brings significant experience and a proven track record to our team in London,” Ares Credit co-head of European credit Blair Jacobson said in the release.

“His hire is consistent with Ares’ continued focus on adding strong investment talent and bringing new credit product offerings to our clients in Europe and around the world.”

Ares is a Los Angeles-based asset management firm.
