By Christine Van Dusen

Atlanta, July 23 – Zambia set talk in the 9½% area for an offering of between $1 billion and $2 billion amortizing notes due in July 2027, a market source said.

Barclays and Deutsche Bank are the bookrunners for the Rule 144A and Regulation S deal, which could price as soon as Thursday.

The notes will have an 11-year average life and three equal redemption payments in July 2025, July 2026 and July 2027.
